If there were a podium at Paris Fashion Week, Eileen Gu would be collecting yet another gold medal.

The most decorated female freestyle skier of all time, per the official Olympics website, Gu won big last month at the 2026 Milan Cortina Games, taking home two silver and one gold medal for her performance in the slopestyle, free air and women’s halfpipe categories, respectively. And in the time since, it’s been fashion lovers’ turn to “win big,” as Gu continues to reward us with a plethora of daring designer looks.

Gu channels a classic work of art for designer look

The Olympian continued her winning style streak this week, traveling to Paris for the Grand Dîner du Louvre. And on Tuesday, March 3, Gu took to Instagram to share a breathtaking nine-photo carousel, giving fans a closer look at her designer gown for the evening event. Captioning in the post, “I suppose life does imitate art #wingedvictory 🌟,” the elite athlete posed in front of the iconic Louvre Museum in a shimmering number from designer Iris van Herpen.

Comprising a dreamy, muted pink material, “The Dohrnii Gown” was crafted with a high neckline, a low back and an overall flowy silhouette. Gu kept her long brunette hair down, parting her tresses to the side for added volume. Her makeup was a spring-friendly glam, centering plenty of pretty pinks to match her ensemble. Still, our favorite detail of the entire look was easily the two sculptural fabric “wings” emerging from the back of the garment, which gave the Olympian a truly ethereal vibe.

In the comments, Gu also highlighted one specific photo in the set, writing, “If u understand slide 3 u a real one.” In the snapshot, she posed with her back to the camera in front of the classic Winged Victory of Samothrace sculpture. For those unaware, the statue depicts Nike—the Greek goddess of victory—descending onto a ship with her massive wings outspread. And, being that Gu was celebrating her own victory, it made sense that she channeled the stature with her own pair of wings!

Fans (and famous friends) can’t get enough of Gu’s style

And speaking of “the comments” and “victory,” many of the Olympian’s 4.4 million Instagram followers (including a few famous friends) stopped by to applaud the elite athlete’s gorgeous Haute Couture moment in Paris.

“She’s a fairy 🧚,” fellow Olympian Suni Lee penned.

“BREAKING NEWS!!! A fairy has descended to Earth!❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥🧚‍♀️,” one commenter concurred.

“From the ski slopes to the catwalk, my perfect girl💝🫶🏻🌟,” another fan added.

“You are a vision and so inspiring 🤍🤍,” the official account for designer Iris van Herpen proclaimed. “It was moving to see you in dialogue with the Winged Victory sculpture, two embodiments of female strength and grace across time.”
