Ilona Maher’s Chic Mexico City Look Is a Masterclass in Elevating Casual Pieces

No matter where she travels, the Olympian’s striking and stylish wardrobe follows.

Mexico City is doing all the favors for Ilona Maher, as the Olympian looked refreshed during her latest trip. She’s living her life to the fullest and, lucky for her Instagram followers, she’s documenting all the fun things she’s gotten up to, as well as the cute looks she’s sported so far.

Maher’s outfit for day one of her stay included a captivating white top with an alluring open cut, with two white straps going across her back to make a daring statement. She paired the top with light-washed denim jeans, a tried-and-true combination that never fails to be cool and modern. A shiny pair of earrings was the perfect accessory to top off this casual yet chic outfit.

“the first photo ARE YOU KIDDING ME 🔥🔥🔥,” one fan wrote underneath Maher’s latest Instagram post.

“The backless moment!!! 🔥,” another comment read.

“Ma’am WHAT!? That first photo doeeeee 🔥🔥🔥😍😍,” another fan stated.

“First picture EATTTSSSSS,” one follower exclaimed.

In addition to serving seriously stylish looks, Maher certainly had a jam-packed agenda. She visited a local perfume store and marveled at the many different plants and other scented items. Naturally, she also tried out various mezcals, which is a must-do activity when visiting Mexico—a.k.a. the epicenter of these beloved smoky yet sweet drinks. However, according to her Instagram Stories, Maher discovered that mezcal might be an acquired taste.

“At a mezcal tasting. Turns out I do not like mezcal,” the 29-year-old professional athlete admitted. “But maybe the fifth one will change my mind.” While the staple drink didn’t bode well for Maher’s taste buds, she admired a different Mexican delicacy—crickets, writing in a separate Instagram Story slide, “Really messin’ with these crickets though.”

Another must-do in this country is checking out a wrestling match, which appeared to be a highlight of Maher’s trip. In addition to capturing an awesome video of luchadores flipping and tumbling on the mat, she also captured a couple of selfies of herself thoroughly enjoying the show. One selfie consisted of a still of her with a delicious beverage in hand, while the other featured her wearing a luchador mask with her sisters, Olivia and Adrianna.

Hopefully, Maher will document even more highlights from her stay in Mexico City—but so far, her happiness in this beautiful location, as well as the stylish and striking fashion she has packed in her suitcase, is abundantly evident.
