Kylie Jenner Proves Pastels Aren’t Just for Spring With Dreamy ‘Butter Glam’ Look

Forget about those trendy jewel tones—instead, break out pastel yellow for an alternative autumn option.

Kylie Jenner is bringing some much-needed sunshine into Daylight Saving Time with her latest look, and we’re very much here for it (because why on Earth is it dark at 4 p.m. now?!).

The reality TV star and brand mogul stopped by Instagram on Friday to share her latest glam with her fans, where she used a shade often overlooked in fashion spaces as the calendar moves forward to wintertime: pastel yellow. The sweet, bright makeup look was a welcome change of pace, especially when paired with her silky ensemble.

Styling & Glam

For the cover snapshot of the three-photo carousel—which Jenner aptly captioned, “butter glam 🧈”—the superstar stared down the barrel of the camera with a sultry gaze. Her intricate eyeshadow look took center stage in the shot, comprised of a bold yellow base blended with deeper cocoa and tan hues. The pop of yellow highlight under her browbone was an especially nice touch, adding a fun halo effect to the already incredible look.

The rest of her glam was just as stunning, with the brand mogul and her makeup artist, Ariel—who also posted a look at the style with the cute caption, “🧈Butter Glam than you 💛”—opting for a classic Jenner makeup moment. Matte skin, rosy cheeks, strong eyebrows and fluffy eyelashes were the name of the game, expertly accentuating that glowy eye, and her glossy nude lip was the perfect cherry on top.

Still, a makeup look this strong needs an ensemble to match—and she didn’t disappoint, donning a silky yellow bra-style top layered beneath a tank for one shot, and a more muted, pastel yellow halter-style top with a daring, plunging neckline for another. With her signature dark hair slicked back in a bun and minimal accessories, the final look was basically sunshine personified.

Switching up the makeup

Jenner is, of course, no stranger to playing with makeup, as the 28-year-old is the founder of the popular brand Kylie Cosmetics. This year, she’s especially been switching things up in the space while having fun with her brand and image—even getting a little self-referential in the process.

Recently, she dropped a surprise “King Kylie” line. The collection featured many fan-favorite nostalgic throwback items from the brand’s original launch, harkening back to Jenner’s days of teal highlights and lip kits. She even filmed a sequel to her original lip gloss commercial for the project, continuing a saga fans have requested since its debut.

Needless to say, we can’t wait to see what glam Jenner tries next—and hopefully we’ll get more Kylie Cosmetics newness before the year is out!
