Meg Stalter and Paul W. Downs Just Recreated This Viral Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet Look

Meg Stalter and Paul W. Downs arrived to the Critics Choice Awards in Southern California on Jan. 4 in a duo of familiar 'fits. The Hacks costars graced the red carpet in a particular orange hue that commanded the month of December, and the pair showcased two outfits that were recently spotted on another duo in attendance at the Sunday night award show.
The 'fits in question? Bold, leather looks in a vibrant, tangerine shade. The ensembles—which featured a monochromatic suit, work boots and a crossbody bag on the 43-year-old actor and a cut-out maxi dress and silver statement necklace on the 35-year-old comedian—seemed to be a nod to a red carpet look by Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner, which was worn in early December.
More on Chalamet and Jenner’s matching looks!
Prefacing the Christmas release of Chalamet’s latest project, Marty Supreme—in which the 30-year-old stars as Marty Mauser—the actor attended the Dec. 8 Los Angeles premiere of the A24 film in a vibrant display. Chalamet walked the carpet with Jenner, 28, who donned the same orange shade in the form of a plunging cut-out gown, which she accessorized with a large chain necklace.
As for the Hacks duo, however, they noted that that their coordinated ensembles for Sunday night’s ceremony were a long time in the making. “We’ve had these looks. I mean, your stylist texted me, like, two years ago,” Stalter told Nylon while chatting about their ensembles for the occasion.
Downs, who was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series, continued, “We’ve had these for a really long time, and I do know they’ve been worn, but we were like, we’re shooting season five of Hacks, we didn’t really have time to look or shop.” The actor did reference the celebrity couple while chatting with the publication, and added, “I hope Kylie and Timmy wear something we wore when Hacks come out!”
The HBO Max series, which first premiered in May of 2021, has not yet announced the release date for its fifth and final season. In a joint Instagram post by HBO Max, Universal Television, Human by Orientation and Hacks in late September, the network disclosed that Season 5 is “officially in production,” so we’ll keep our eyes out for upcoming updates.
