Olandria Carthen Is the Latest Celeb to Embrace This Short, Chic Hair Trend

Here’s a hint: the cute cut sits somewhere between a bob and a pixie.

In case you missed it, 2026 has quickly become the unofficial “Year of the Bixie Cut,” and Olandria Carthen is the latest celebrity to rock the adorable ‘do.

The “Bixie” is categorized as a cut somewhere between a traditional bob and a pixie—hence the delightfully merged moniker. According to John Frieda’s guide, the cut typically falls “just above or at chin length,” and “features short, textured layers throughout the crown and sides, with longer pieces framing your face.” Since the start of 2026, the style has been spotted on Gigi Hadid, Hailey Bieber and Academy Award nominee Jessie Buckley, to name a few. And earlier this week, the Love Island USA star joined their ranks.

Styling and glam

Initially sharing the look in a 13-slide carousel captioned, “Too composed to compete😉🍊,” the model stood in front of a bright orange backdrop wearing a uniquely geometric two-piece set. The cream-colored duo comprised a rectangular top and bottom with stitching around the perimeter, resulting in the fabric flaring out from her frame. She accessorized the look further with diamonds on her hands and ears, and a pair of crisp white pumps on her feet.

Her makeup was also gorgeous, with Carthen opting for a matte base, rosy cheeks and glossy lips. She punched it up further with some irridescent highlighter, which added both a fun pop of color and some extra sparkle. And speaking of sparkle, her eyes were bejeweled, further spotlighting her shimmering eyeshadows. Even so, the standout part of the overall look was, of course, the bixie, which she styled with blunt, curled bangs and a flirty wing on the ends.

And this isn’t the first time the model has rocked a shorter hairstyle. While she was blowing fans away with her incredible haute couture style during Paris Fashion Week last month, one of her looks also featured a similar cut.

We weren’t the only ones enamored by the model’s new ‘do—not by a long shot. With over 10,000 comments at the time of this article’s publication, plenty of Carthen’s fans and famous friends were quick to hop in her comment section to applaud the next-level look.
