In addition to their shared first name and pop superstardom, Olivia Rodrigo and Olivia Dean just added another item to their growing list of similarities: a “Best New Artist” win at the Grammy Awards. Dean—a 26-year-old British singer with hits like “Man I Need” and “So Easy (To Fall in Love)” off her sophomore studio album The Art of Lovingwas awarded the title during the Feb. 1 show, four years after Rodrigo did the same in 2022.

“I’m up here as a granddaughter of an immigrant,” Dean shared onstage during her acceptance speech, her new hardware in hand. “I’m a product of bravery, and I think those people deserve to be celebrated. We’re nothing without each other.”

And before the annual event touched down in Los Angeles, the pair of artists shared another feat in common. Released that same day, both Rodrigo and Dean were featured on the front page of Cosmopolitan in a chic, black and white snapshot for its “The Sounds of Now” digital issue.

“I’ve always believed the songs we love help us understand who we are becoming. And this Grammys weekend, surrounded by the voices shaping music right now, that belief feels truer than ever," the magazine’s editor in chief, Willa Bennett, penned on the digital feature as part of its cover story. She went on, adding, “We are so excited to bring you inside music’s biggest weekend, exactly as it sounds and feels.”

Beyond Rodrigo and Dean, the publication also spotlighted over a dozen artists, including Ayra Starr, Charley Crockett, Conan Gray, Jelly Roll, Jon Batiste, KATSEYE, Leon Thomas III, Moneybagg Yo, Noah Kahan, Samara Joy, Sienna Spiro, Stephen Sanchez, Tucker Wetmore, YUNGBLUD and REI AMI, EJAE, and Audrey Nuna from KPop Demon Hunters. Members of the star-studded group, including Batiste, Jelly Roll, Joy and Thomas, also came out victorious following the annual award show.

Cosmopolitan social media platforms such as X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram shared the cover image before showtime, as fans gushed over the cover stars. In the frame, Dean sported a long-sleeve button-up top and sequin-adorned midi skirt with a sheer lace hem. Meanwhile, Rodrigo opted for a satin-like midi dress with an “ICE OUT” pin. Both artists also sported pairs of closed-toed platform pumps.

“OLIVIAAASS!” A commenter cheered in the comment section of the magazine’s Instagram post.

“Double Olivia has me gagged !!” Another exclaimed.

One user chimed in, “The Olivias that changed me brain chemistry”.
