Sabrina Carpenter Embodies Cozy ‘90s Vibes While Out to Lunch in New York City

Sabrina Carpenter is just like us. The pop icon also goes out for lunch in New York City in a casual yet chic look that screams 1990s fashion, and looks simply ravishing while doing so.
Carpenter’s ensemble featured a sophisticated black trench coat that extended all the way down to her calves. This served as her outermost layer to not only keep her shielded from the East Coast chill but also keep her effortlessly stylish with this statement piece.
Underneath the coat, she wore a cream turtleneck knit, as well as a pair of light-wash denim jeans. A black leather handbag made for a perfect final touch.
According to an Instagram caption penned by PEOPLE, Carpenter went for lunch in the Big Apple with Vogue entertainment director Sergio Kletnoy joining her company. And this isn’t the first time the singer has been in the realm of the renowned media publication. In fact, earlier this year, it was none other than Carpenter who graced the front page of the magazine for the March 2025 issue.
Her feature included a series of showstopping snapshots that embodied a glamorous vintage aesthetic. Alongside her pictures, Carpenter sat down with Vogue. She discussed an array of topics, such as how much of her true self is really embedded in her work, especially her previous studio album Short n' Sweet.
“Short n’ Sweet is absolutely me,” the 26-year-old expressed in her cover story. “There’s no, like, alter ego. But it’s definitely a more emphasized version of me. It’s interesting because I’m able to dress in this way where you would kind of expect to hear like a voice from the ’60s. But then, when I’m speaking to the audience, I’m just myself.”
While her latest release, Man’s Best Friend, hadn’t yet hit the radio waves, she was already speaking her current life into existence. In concluding her interview with Vogue, she touched on how much of the year she spends writing and reflecting.
“I start every year, just trying to go away and write. Because I feel like I have a lot to say at the end of a year. I’m just kind of tucked away right now. It’s half writing and half relaxation, if that’s something I can even accomplish.”
Following her cozy and cheerful lunch in New York City, it’s safe to suggest she’s in full relaxation mode now. All that’s left to wonder is if she also has a lot to say at the end of 2025—a.k.a. one of the best years of her career to date.
