Sydney Sweeney, Hailee Steinfeld and More Celebs That Literally Shined at the Governors Awards

These industry moguls stepped out in sparkling styles for the Sunday night event in Hollywood.

On Sunday, Nov. 16, an assembly of celebrities gathered at The Ray Dolby Ballroom to celebrate the 2025 Governors Awards. Of the event's extensive guest list, here are a few of its attendees that sported intricate ensembles that we'll be thinking about while we patiently await the 98th Oscars ceremony on Sunday, March 15.

Sydney Sweeney

Sweeney sported this silver Miu Miu ensemble less than 10 days after her latest film, Chrissy, hit theaters. The embellished gown featured an off-the-shoulder style, sweetheart neckline and was adorn edwith silver beading, Plus, it showcased a skinny satin fabric that flowed from her sleeves to a dramatic train. She finished the look with complimentary silver jewelry.

Kate Hudson

Hudson donned a long sleeve sage Valentino gown with its own train that flowed in stride. The star of the earth-toned maxi dress, however, was its sleeves, which featured lots of cut-outs and draped silver beading. The Running Point star also wore her blonde hair in a curled shoulder length bob and joined Hugh Jackman on the carpet for a few snaps.

Hailee Steinfeld

The silhouette of Steinfeld's slate gray Stephane Rolland Couture gown turned heads as the Sinners leading lady effortlessly modeled the dynamic garment. The otherwise solid-colored number featured dainty multicolored beads around the actress's knees and she added an extra pop of color with a burgundy manicure.

Anya Taylor-Joy

Taylor-Joy's super flowy Maison Margiela gown also featured a commanding cut with a figure-hugging bodice. While poising on the carpet, The Queen's Gambit leading lady stretched her arms to reveal a sheer cape, and she added two statement pieces—a chunky, glimmering necklace and silver drop earrings—to complete her ensemble.

Ariana Grande

Grande's Dior gown was naturally Glinda coded, as the Wicked and Wicked: For Good star repped a muted pink for her Sunday night ensemble. The one-shoulder garment also displayed lots of beadwork, which extended from its shoulder down the actress's bodice and back. It also reappeared along the garment's center, to meet its ruched detailing.

Teyana Taylor

This skin-tight silver gown from Miss Sohee clung to Taylor, as she gave red carpet cameras a sultry glance. The One Battle After Another star also exhibited some bold glam to match the eye-catching garment, with carved brows, smokey eyeliner and a glossy pout.
