Anne Hathaway’s New Love Interest in ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ Revealed in Set Pics

Fans of the 2006 classic The Devil Wears Prada know two things for certain: florals for spring are not, in fact, groundbreaking, and—while Meryl Streep’s Miranda Priestly may have been presented as the antagonist of the movie—the real villain was the main character’s boyfriend Nate (played by Adrian Grenier).
With that in mind, you can imagine how excited fans were when Anne Hathaway was spotted out and about in Brooklyn, N.Y., this week, filming for the highly anticipated sequel while arm-in-arm with her new leading man. And even though it appeared that Hathaway’s Andy Sachs has moved on from Nate, she hasn’t completely left behind the sense of style she gained during her stint at Priestly’s fictional magazine.
In several behind the scenes clips and photos making the rounds online, Hathaway sported a glittering blue gown with flattering draped details around the waist. Her brunette hair was styled in relaxed curls, while her makeup matched her outfit perfectly thanks to some blended blue eyeshadows. She accessorized the ensemble further with a chainmail handbag and open-toed slingback heels.
The actress grooved around the set, dancing while glancing over her shoulder to see if her on-screen partner was following her. Enter: Patrick Brammall. Per PEOPLE, the Australian actor—who is best known for his roles in TV shows like Glitch and Colin From Accounts—will officially be playing Hathaway’s new love interest.
The two were all smiles on the set, and—if their adorable frolicking in these scenes is anything to go by—we’re in for some seriously great on-screen chemistry between these two.
Bromall is an exciting new addition to the already stacked cast, many of whom are returning favorites from the first film, including heavy-hitters like Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci. While limited information about the film’s storyline is available, fans have been having fun with the photos being shared online from the set—a phenomenon screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna recently chatted about with IndieWire.
“We knew there would be a lot of interest. I personally hadn’t experienced this level of people coming out [to the set], but it’s the world we live in,” McKenna told the outlet. “In many ways, we’re speaking to a different world than we did in 2006 [...] It stems from like a legitimate desire to see these characters again. As long as everyone’s safe, what an honor that people are still interested.”
The Devil Wears Prada 2 is currently slated for release May 1, 2026!
