Carol Alt knows she’s an SI Swimsuit legend. The seven-time model, who made her debut with the magazine in Florida in 1981, landed her iconic cover the following year after her photo shoot with John G. Zimmerman in Kenya.

Alt was featured in the magazine six times between 1981 and ’89, and returned in 2014 for SI Swimsuit’s 50th anniversary issue.

The 62-year-old, who made a marvelous return to the runway earlier this month during SI Swimsuit’s Runway Show at 2023 Miami Swim Week, reflected on her years with the brand in her latest Instagram post.

“Feeling grateful and nostalgic for the incredible memories created at @si_swimsuit ❤️,” Alt captioned a recent snap of her holding a framed photo of the 1982 magazine.

“You are a queen! 👏,” Swim Search finalist Sharina Guttierez commented.

“Looking fabulous,” Tanya Newbould complimented.

“Leader of the pack - humble, fun, witty and of course gorgeous ❤️❤️🙌,“ one fan gushed.

Alt, who has published several health and nutrition books, starred in many films back in her modeling day including Thunder in Paradise and Deadly Past. She also served a short stint hosting Fox News’s A Healthy You and Carol Alt.
