‘Dancing With the Stars’ Pro Jenna Johnson Reveals Her 3 Dream Dance Partners

While Jenna Johnson may have been eliminated from Season 34 of Dancing With the Stars during its second week, the reigning Mirrorball Trophy winner is still enjoying the journey, no matter where it takes her. Instead of participating in the competition, the 31-year-old Los Angeles native is flexing her choreography muscles and taking part in group dances.
“I think my biggest takeaway [from this season] is that you never know how your season’s gonna go, and every year I feel like I have a beautiful journey,” Johnson, who danced with actor Corey Feldman this season, tells SI Lifestyle. “Last year, I was very stressed because I knew I had a shot at winning the Mirrorball and I don’t feel like I was as present during the season, even though I had a winning moment.”
Being eliminated early on in this year’s competition, Johnson says, has actually allowed her to step back and be more engaged in the moment this time around.
“I feel like almost this current season being eliminated early on, I feel so much more present because I get to appreciate where I am and what I’m doing,” Johnson, who took home the show’s ultimate prize last year with former The Bachelor star Joey Graziadei, says. “... I’ve had a lot more time to create and to choreograph and dance for group numbers and just have a different relationship with the show than chasing that Mirrorballl, because it wasn’t my shot this year.”
Johnson’s dream DWTS partners
As she looks ahead to future seasons of the show, Johnson certainly has a few celebrities whom she’d love to be paired up with.
“Taylor Lautner has been on my target list for a couple seasons,” Johnson says of the Twilight saga actor. “I’ll keep bugging him about it [and] whenever he’s ready, I am willing and ready.”
Should Lautner turn down the invitation, Johnson’s list also contains both a one-time Super Bowl champion and a two-time Grammy Award nominee.
“I think somebody like Jason Kelce would be absolutely incredible,” she states of the retired Philadelphia Eagles center. If the 38-year-old athlete’s viral moves are a sampling of what he’d bring to the ballroom, we wholeheartedly approve of this potential partnership.
“I’m also gonna throw out Demi Lovato,” Johnson adds. “I’m the only female pro to dance with the same sex pairing. I danced with Jojo Siwa a couple seasons ago [in 2021] ... I just feel like I would be so down with somebody like Demi. I feel like she would just bring it and it would be fierce and break boundaries with choreography and what you can do, so that would be fun.”
While Season 34 of Dancing With the Stars will crown its Mirrorball champion on Tuesday evening, we’ll be eagerly awaiting the casting news for the next iteration to see if any of Johnson’s wishes come true. Tune in to the three-hour season finale episode on Nov. 25 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
