Anna Hall began the fall season with a gold medal, and nearly two months later, she’s adding another shiny piece of hardware to her collection. On Nov. 14, the 24-year-old track and field phenom—who notched a heptathlon world title from Tokyo in September—announced that she is engaged to New York Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton in a joint Instagram post.

The wide receiver pops the question

“in the exact place we first met i got to say yes to me & you forever ❤️,” Hall penned as part of the six-slide carousel’s caption, after calling the 28-year-old her “whole entire heart.”

Fittingly, the NFL player—who has been part of the Giants franchise since 2019—got down on one knee on the track. Afterwards, with a city skyline as the proposal’s backdrop, the couple posed for a few photos to celebrate, while twinning in monochromatic black ensembles.

“Mom and Dad ❤️,” Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart wrote in the post’s comments. More members of Slayton’s squad, such as Cameron Skattebo and Andrew Thomas, sent over their best wishes, as well.

“so happy for yall😍😍😍,” Jasmine Moore, two-time Olympic medalist and Hall's USA Track and Field teammate, gushed.

The duo enters the latest chapter of their love story following approximately 13 months together. On Oct. 18., Hall debuted a 10-slide carousel of her and Slayton to Instagram to ring in their first year together. In its cover slide, the duo lovingly stared into each other’s eyes in a candid seaside snap, and Hall's four-word sentiment—scribed in the post’s caption—captured its essence: “love you, mean it!”

As they’ve embarked on their individual athlete endeavors, they have also made their support for each other abundantly clear. Following her World Champion title, Slayton showcased a custom shirt while warming up for his own matchup at MetLife Stadium. The tee featured Hall’s name written along the front, with a trio of photos, and “World Champ” written on its back under her total points from the competition, 7,032.

Hall was also spotted on the sidelines that same month—when the Giants hosted the Los Angeles Chargers on Sept. 28. She repped another custom tank for her beau, with his number, 18, displayed on its center.

In an Instagram story from her soon-to-be sister-in-law, Maileka Slayton, she also sported her new fiancé’s last name on a pair of sweats for the team’s Week 11 matchup against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, Nov. 16, even though Slayton was sidelined with a hamstring injury.
