’Tis the season for holiday gifting, and certified fitness trainer Katie Austin is clearly in the giving spirit. The 30-year-old SI Swimsuit model took to her Instagram story earlier this week to facilitate giveaways and freebies to any of her 403,000 followers in need.

On Monday, Dec. 11, Austin shared that she’d been “thinking a lot about how to give back during this time” and wanted to help out her fans. She inquired how she could help her followers out during the holidays, and plenty of folks replied.

When one person asked for workout outfits to “find some motivation,” plenty of brands jumped at the chance to give away free products, including FP Movement and Athleta. Both brands committed to gifting five of Austin’s followers an activewear set.

In addition to spontaneously partnering with brands to give back during the holidays, Austin dug into her own pockets to help out her supporters. When one person shared that they’re a struggling student, the 2022 co-Rookie of the Year sent the individual a $200 gift card for Factor ready-to-eat meals. She also offered to send a brand new YSL perfume to a recent widow, a special gift from Azazie to a bride-to-be, and grocery gift cards to five users.

Other brands that chimed in to participate in the giveaway included Peter Thomas Roth, My Girl Wellness, On the Go Glow and Athletic Propulsion Labs. In the end, Austin gave away tons of freebies to fans in need, but it seems the process benefitted her just as much as it did others.

“Reading through so many submissions and just tearing up,” she wrote in an Instagram story. “Reminder that everyone’s going through their own battle, so now during this holiday season and current state of the world, it’s so so important to treat everyone with kindness. Spread the gift of giving when and if you can.”
