Lindsey Vonn Gives Fans a Look At Her Workout Routine After Multiple Leg Surgeries

As Lindsey Vonn’s healing journey following her 2026 Milan Cortina Games crash continues, she’s keeping fans updated every step of the way.
The decorated skier sustained a complex tibia fracture on Feb. 8 as a result of a crash during the women’s downhill; an injury that was compounded by the ACL tear she was already working through pre-Olympics. Since then, Vonn has undergone multiple surgeries, both on-site in Italy and upon her return to the U.S. Following her most recent surgeries—one which Vonn noted took six hours—the athlete praised her medical team, saying, “Dr. Tom Hackett saved my leg. He saved my leg from being amputated ... I feel very lucky and grateful for him.”
And this week, her healing journey continues. Vonn stopped by Instagram to give her fans and fellow athletes a look at what her rehabilitation routine currently looks like, including her workout regimen.
Vonn takes fans along for her healing journey
“Definitely some hard times but still thankful... still working hard,” Vonn penned in the caption of her latest video. “The only goal is to get healthy. One day at a time. #icandothis.” For her workout, the Olympian wore a matching burnt-orange set, comprising a cropped compression tank top and matching shorts.
In the short clip, which featured a snippet from the country tune “It’s A Great Day To Be Alive” by Travis Tritt, the athlete walked her 3.6 million followers through her current routine, beginning with streteches and gentle movements with her leg, massages to get her blood circulating, routine arm and back exercises with weights, leg lifts with a medicine ball and a few moves to strengthen her core.
The clip then concluded with a shot of Vonn standing up slowly out of her wheelchair with the aid of a nearby machine, taking a deep breath as she straightened up to her full height.
Fans and famous friends cheer on Vonn
To say Vonn’s incredible and vulnerable healing journey has been an inspiration for fans and fellow athletes alike would be an extreme understatement. And this sentiment is only made clearer with just one quick peek at her comment section on her latest Instagram video.
“The stand up made me cry! So proud of you!!” Vonn’s sister, Karin Kildow, wrote.
“You Got This!! Small thing to a GIANT!! 💪🏾💪🏾. LFG!! 🫡🙏🏾” Lebron James proclaimed, to which Vonn responded, “thanks 🙏🏻👑💪🏻.”
“Absolutely incredible. Always blowing our minds,” fellow skier Chemmy Alcott wrote.
“You already look like you’re months into it already 🤯 👊🏻 💪 you really are built different,” another commenter applauded. “Stay strong mind/body 🙌🏻.”
