Goodbye ‘Stranger Things’: Millie Bobby Brown Sets Sights on New Romantic Comedy Role

Well Millie Bobby Brown is certainly having a very exciting Wednesday!
The 21-year-old actress and Florence by Mills brand founder may be saying goodbye to the beloved character Eleven as Stranger Things nears the release of its fifth and final season later this year, but that doesn’t mean the superstar isn’t already looking ahead. In fact, we already know exactly what her next project will be—and it’s a first for her.
The Hollywood Reporter has revealed in an exclusive that Brown is set to star in an upcoming romantic comedy for Netflix titled Just Picture It. This will be the first rom-com role for the actress, as Brown is set to star opposite Gabriel LaBelle, who is best known for his role in the Academy Award-nominated 2022 Steven Spielberg drama The Fabelmans.
Per Netflix’s official website, the film will follow Brown and LaBelle as “two college students who are surprised when their phones glitch and start showing them pictures from 10 years in the future—featuring them as a happily married couple with kids.”
Aside from acting, Brown is also set to produce the project—a dual role she has previously taken on with films like Damsel and the upcoming Enola Holmes 3. Just Picture It is written by Jesse Lasky and directed by Lee Toland Krieger, who has previously directed episodes of Netflix’s hit suspense series You, as well as the 2015 romantic drama The Age of Adaline starring Blake Lively.
As hinted at above, today was a big day for the actress, as news of her next role came right on the heels of the latest teaser trailer for the final season of Stranger Things, which was posted earlier today. Almost 10 years after the series premiered on the streaming platform, the story will conclude in what promises to be an epic finale.
And fans of the franchise were overjoyed by the incredible clips shared in the short trailer, taking to the comment section on YouTube to express their excitement:
“This is a perfect example of how you do a teaser trailer,” one user wrote. “You’re not getting a synopsis of the entire series, but it perfectly gives you a setting and a vibe—that’s a teaser.”
“That hug felt like a goodbye. My heart isn’t ready. 💔,” another added.
“Netflix, thanks for not spoiling the last season with this trailer. November can’t come soon enough!” Another fan concluded.
The final season of Stranger Things will be available for streaming in three separate parts. The first group of episodes will be released on Nov. 26, with another group releasing on Dec. 25 before the final episode is available to stream on Dec. 31.
