Fans Are Blushing Over Paige Bueckers’s Iconic Hard Launch With GF Azzi Fudd

The WNBA rookie confirmed the relationship in the sweetest way at the All-Star game.

Paige Bueckers had fans swooning during WNBA All-Star Weekend in Indiana when she playfully confirmed her long-rumored relationship with Azzi Fudd in the most Gen Z way imaginable: by acing a quiz about her.

The Dallas Wings rookie, who walked the red carpet ahead of the festivities, was stopped by WAG Talk for a trending segment typically reserved for NBA wives and girlfriends.

“How well do you know your D1 girlfriend?” the host asked. Without missing a beat, 23-year-old Bueckers breezed through questions about Fudd’s high school (St. John’s College High School), her 2019 Gatorade Player of the Year award and her No. 1 ranking in the class of 2021. She even remembered that her 22-year-old girlfriend’s first collegiate start came during her freshman season at UConn and that her mom wore an iconic t-shirt reading “Fudd Around and Find Out” during the 2022 NCAA championship game.

The two met at UConn and have been inseparable ever since—first as best friends, and now openly as romantic partners.

When asked which WNBA team drafted Fudd’s mom, Bueckers made her only misstep, unable to recall the now-defunct Sacramento Monarchs. For context, Fudd’s mother is Katie Smrcka-Duffy, who played at NC State and Georgetown before being selected in the third round of the 2001 WNBA Draft by the Monarchs. Her dad is Tim Fudd, who also played college basketball at American University. Bueckers did, however, correctly note that Fudd was named after legendary WNBA player Jennifer Azzi.

With the quiz wrapping up, the final question prompted Bueckers to smile and blush before delivering her most confident answer yet: “What does her phone case say on it?” the host asked. Bueckers smirked: “Paige Bueckers’s girlfriend.”

The moment ended with a final request: “Girlfriend reveal?” and Paige responded with a cheeky grin, answering “Azzi Fudd,” making what had long been internet speculation feel undeniably official.

While the pair have never publicly defined their relationship in interviews, they’ve long shared a special bond—one rooted in years of friendship, mutual respect and basketball brilliance. Now it seems they’re embracing that closeness with a hard launch that only makes fans love them more.
