Sabrina Carpenter Poses in Nothing But Thigh-Highs for ‘Rolling Stone’ Cover: ‘Summer of Sabrina’

Less than 24 hours after nearly breaking the internet with the announcement of her new album Man’s Best Friend, Sabrina Carpenter is sharing all the details with Rolling Stone.
“If I really wanted to, I could have stretched out [the 2024 album] Short n’ Sweet much, much longer,” Carpenter told the publication in her cover story, released this morning. “But I’m at that point in my life where I’m like, ‘Wait a second, there’s no rules.’ If I’m inspired to write and make something new, I would rather do that. Why would I wait three years just for the sake of waiting three years?”
The pop star created her own path, telling her massive Instagram following on Wednesday that the album—which is available to pre-order today—will release on August 29.

For her cover image on Rolling Stone’s summer issue, Carpenter stripped down to just over-the-knee lace socks, while her blonde locks held a voluminous curl covering her body.
“Sabrina is coming for album of the year, artist of the yet, pop vocal album, all of it and I’m here for it 😍,” one fan exclaimed when she broke the news this week.
“man’s best friend” is saving my life and it’s not even out yet,” another fan gushed.
“Yes Please Please Please!!!! 🙌,” one commenter wrote, referencing Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet hit.
Likewise, fans were just as mesmerized over the breathtaking feat.
“She is EVERYTHING omg,” one commenter declared.
“MY SUPER STAR,” another user concurred.
Written as part of their Instagram post’s caption, Rolling Stone stated of the singer-songwriter, “She’s the joke-cracking, wildly ambitious pop superstar that we all need. She’s also just getting started. ”
In the midst of her Short n’ Sweet World Tour that’s captivated international attention—with her ever-changing “Juno” positions and multicolored bodysuits—the 25-year-old is showing no signs of halting her reign.
With two Grammys to her name (Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Solo Performance), the sky is truly the limit for Carpenter. Her first single from the album, “Manchild,” is climbing the charts, with an equally buzz-worthy music video to match.
Per Carpenter’s producer and collaborator Jack Antonoff, the song is a first of many hits to come.
“[‘Manchild’ is] easily my favorite song we’ve ever done together,” Antonoff beamed in Carpenter’s cover story. “The things we did on the last album — things that people really loved — were just the start of places we wanted to take it. It’s like, ‘Oh, you like that? Well, just you wait.’”
