Sabrina Carpenter is not done “arresting” celebrities for being too gorgeous at her shows—and this weekend, she got a two-for-one special.

In case you’ve missed it, the superstar singer-songwriter is back on the road for new stops on her sensational Short N’ Sweet Tour. While the set list has remained mostly the same, she’s also been incorporating new songs from her latest album, Man’s Best Friend, which was recently nominated for six Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year, as well as Song of the Year and Record of the Year for her lead single “Manchild.”

Still, those changes to the show haven’t stopped Carpenter from continuing her fan-favorite traditions on the tour. And over the weekend, she “caught” a couple of celebs to whom she was more than happy to gift her fuzzy handcuffs.

The Fanning sisters go to jail (but not really!)

For those not in the know, Carpenter has a segment during her concert, right before she sings her playful track “Juno,” wherein she “arrests” someone in the audience for being too attractive. It’s become a fun tradition for fans, as those arrested are typically celebs attending the show who then get to have a tongue-in-cheek, one-on-one moment with the singer. Past flirty felons have included Millie Bobby Brown, Ayo Edebiri, Anne Hathaway, Salma Hayek Pinault, and Olivia Dean—and that’s just to name a handful.

Beginning this past weekend, Carpenter will be in Los Angeles for a six-show stop, playing live on Nov. 16, 17, 19, 20, 22 and 23. And the singer struck gold during her Night 2 show on Sunday, Nov. 17, where she arrested beloved actresses Dakota and Elle Fanning.

The sisters were all smiles and giggles in the adorable clip, which was captured and posted by multiple fans. “Oh my God, you guys. I have to arrest you. You’re too beautiful,” the singer declared as police sirens sounded on stage. She asked them for their names, and upon repeating them, the crowd erupted into applause. “One of you is cute—but two, though? Damn,” Carpenter teased, directly referencing lyrics from the song she was about to perform. She then handed off a single pair of fuzzy handcuffs to the duo, as is tradition, before heading off to start the number.

A busy year for all three women

This “arrest” comes after a busy 2025 for all three women. As mentioned above, Carpenter has been around the world promoting her new album and finishing her tour. As if that weren’t exciting enough, Man’s Best Friend officially went platinum just last week, which the artist shared in an announcement on Instagram.

Meanwhile, Dakota Fanning has spent the year starring in All Her Fault—a thriller series on Peacock—as well as the horror movie Vicious. She also acted as an executive producer on the docuseries Death in Apartment 603: What Happened to Ellen Greenberg? (alongside her sister) and the upcoming drama series Margo’s Got Money Troubles for Apple TV+ (in which her sister will star and also executive produce).

Most recently, Elle Fanning starred in the latest addition to the popular Predator franchise, Predator: Badlands. She’ll also be featured as fan-favorite character Effie Trinket in the highly anticipated Hunger Games prequel film, The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, which will be released in 2026.
