Here’s Why Fans Are Convinced Miley Cyrus’s Latest Look Is a Nod to ‘Hannah Montana’

Music lovers are experiencing the best of both worlds, as the singer is starting off the new year with a familiar look.

If Hannah Montana were to ever make her return, the childhood dreams of Disney fans from all over the world will come true. While only time will tell if we’ll ever see the blonde diva back on screens, Miley Cyrus is inadvertently giving her fans a taste of what a reunion with the beloved pop princess would feel like.

Recently found on the Can’t Be Tamed singer’s Instagram grid was a stunning black and white photo of the star. She sported a chic look, consisting of a black blazer and matching slacks. She kept the ball rolling with a polka dot-covered shirt, and her pointed black shoes paired with her black sunglasses were neat additions to this cool look.

Another aspect of this dazzling number included Cyrus’s hairstyle, something that many of her fans called attention to in the comments of her Jan. 4 Instagram post. In addition to looking mighty good on the Grammy Award winner, bangs were the signature of Cyrus’s breakout role character, Hannah Montana. Perhaps that’s why her comments are filled with curiosity, wondering if Ms. Montana is about to be brought back to light.

“SHE (HANNAH MONTANA) IS COMING,” one person exclaimed.

“HANNAH MONTANA IS ALIVE AND BREATHING! 🎤✨,” another comment read.

“Miley please let me know if i need to spend my life savings to get wherever i need to be for this Hannah reunion,” a fan hilarious wrote.

Hopefully this fan doesn’t stray too far from Cyrus’s Instagram because, based on what she teased to Variety, there’s a solid chance that the “True Friend” singer is set to reappear much sooner than fans may have thought. With the 20th anniversary of the debut of the Disney Channel original series, Hannah Montana, approaching in March 2026, Cyrus made sure to draw attention to a familiar detail.

When asked about the current plans for a reunion, she stated, “Absolutely. We’re working hard on ‘em.” She was then asked to tease a little more, to which Cyrus responded, “I can’t tell you. You see the bangs.”

Although that’s all the American actress was willing to divulge, it was more than enough to kick off the countdown to Hanna Montana’s 20th birthday. However, Cyrus did let the world know that, along with the bangs, she also still has other signature hairstyles from the fictional character in her closet.

During an interview with Jimmy Kimmel in May 2025, the late night TV host questioned if she still had the wig, to which Cyrus answered, “Of course! I have a couple looks, too. Shorter. Longer. Blonder.”
