XANDRA Set to DJ Famed Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Runway Show in Miami

The 22-year-old University of Miami graduate has been practicing her craft for six years.

XANDRA, a recent University of Miami graduate and TikTok star, will DJ the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Runway Show at the W South Beach for Miami Swim Week on Friday, July 7. The SI Swimsuit runway show will be live-streamed from Miami Swim Week. Click here to watch the full show.

XANDRA began DJing as a junior in high school after seeing Alison Wonderland perform at Lollapalooza. Now 22, she’s continuing to pursue her dreams while making her way in a predominately male industry. When she spoke to SI Swimsuit recently about her forthcoming show in Miami, XANDRA told the publication she’s simply “ecstatic” about the opportunity.

“I cannot even put [my excitement] into words. I still don’t believe that it’s real, like it does not feel real,” she said. “I’ve always looked up to Sports Illustrated my whole entire life... I just never thought I’d ever be in this position, especially DJing, doing the thing that I love the most.”

An open-format DJ, XANDRA noted that rather than sticking to one specific genre during her sets, she feels out the crowd and changes up the music based on people’s reactions.

“My belief is that if the girls are happy, the boys are happy. If they’re dancing, the guys are dancing,” she explained. “So I feel like by keeping the girls happy and making sure everyone has a good time, that’s the best type of music you can play.”
