Simone Biles shared her latest career move on social media this morning, telling her 12 million loyal Instagram followers that she is teaming up with Laureus as an “Ambassador” for the sports mogul.

The 28-year-old gymnast, who has notched seven gold medals alongside two silver and two bronze in three Olympic appearances, coupled the announcement—which was also revealed in a press release from Laureus—with a 10-slide Instagram carousel.

“Laureus has played a meaningful role in my journey for many years, and I am incredibly proud to have been honoured four times as Laureus Sportswoman of the Year, including at last year’s Laureus Awards in Madrid, which was an unforgettable night for me,” Biles began the caption of the joint post with the organization.

In the cover frame, she smiled in a navy zip-up from the organization paired with black leggings as she took a seat on a gymnastics beam. She later explained that every image in the collage was captured “at the Polisportiva Garegnano gym in Milan [Italy],” where she was joined by a plethora of young athletes, as well as her husband, Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens.

Biles’s caption continued, “Today I am just as proud to be joining the Laureus movement as an Ambassador. This is a decision I have thought about for quite some time—it’s a deeply personal choice for me and one I am taking because I share the big idea at the heart of everything Laureus does: that sport has the power to change the world.”

Biles’s journey with Laureus spans years. In 2017, she won her inaugural Sportswoman of the Year award from the organization and went on to win the title three more times. She received the honor two years in a row, in 2019 and 2020, before receiving it once again in the spring of 2025. Additionally, Biles was nominated for Laureus’s Comeback of the Year award in 2022, before winning it in 2024.

The athlete’s latest endeavor has already been met with lots of enthusiasm from her massive fanbase. Despite its brief time online, several Instagram users cheered on Biles in her carousel’s comment section.

“You’ll be an amazing ambassador. Congratulations!” One user penned.

“You are so incredibly inspiring ❤️🔥,” a commenter gushed.

“You’re amazing girly!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥,” another fan agreed.
