Megan Thee Stallion Takes Fans Along As She Prepares to Make Her Broadway Debut

Megan Thee Stallion is heading to Broadway, and she’s taking her fans along for a backstage tour.
In case you missed it, the rapper announced back in February that she’d be appearing in Moulin Rouge! The Musical in the role of Zidler for a limited engagement, beginning Tuesday, March 24 through Sunday, May 17, calling it “Thee hottest news on Broadway❣️🎩” in her Instagram caption. And this week, Megan returned to the social media platform to show fans how she’s been preparing for the role, including a look at the backstage area of the impressive production.

Captioning the vlog-style video, “It has been chaotic around here lately 😭 BUT MY BROADWAY 🎭 DEBUT IS ALMOST HEREEEE,” Megan ventured backstage to shadow Bob the Drag Queen, who currently plays Zidler. As she made her way around the space, she stopped to chat with multiple performers, joking, “Y’all know I make friends everywhere I go!” before showing off her soon-to-be dressing room.
The Grammy Award-winning artist wore an all-black ensemble during her trip backstage, comprising a high-neck leather tank with daring side cutouts and a coordinating pair of pants. She accessorized the ensemble with pointy-toed boots, a matching black handbag, silver jewelry and some oversized glasses. Her long hair was braided back off her face, and her makeup was a beautiful balance of glam and natural, with matte skin, glossy lips and bold eyebrows taking center stage.
And that wasn’t the only Moulin Rouge! The Musical -related newness the recording artist blessed fans’ timelines with today! Megan also shared the first official promotional images of herself in full costume, fully embodying Zidler, the host of the Moulin Rouge.
Fans and famous friends are ready to give Megan a standing ovation
With her opening night just around the corner, it should come as no surprise that Megan’s passionate fan base was quick to hop in her comment section to share their excitement for her latest venture. And these messages of support also included a few famous friends and familiar names, as well!
“I’m seated second row on opening night!” Singer Todrick Hall penned, “Can’t wait to twerk at the Al Hirshfield!”
“Wow Meg ❤️🔥,” model Jasmine Sanders simply added.
“Ladies and gentleman 🎩….. The stallion...” Baz Luhrmann—the director of the original Moulin Rouge! film, which the Broadway musical is based on—declared.
“The costumer knew exactly what they were doing because wow! 🤩,” another commenter concluded.
