Ashley Graham Champions Plus-Size Fashion With New JCPenney Collection

Supermodel Ashley Graham’s third design collection for JCPenney has officially dropped, and it might just be the best one yet. With dresses, denim, tops and more perfect for refreshing your spring wardrobe, the department store line is designed exclusively for curves.

In an Instagram post shared to her feed on Thursday, March 25, Graham provided some insight to her 21 million followers about the thought and care that went into her latest designs.

“When I started designing collections for @jcpenney, I wasn’t thinking about the clothes first, I was thinking about the woman they’re made for,” Graham wrote. “Women who’ve always been here, living full lives and leading in every space, yet rarely truly designed for.”

The accompanying reel showcased Graham wearing her designs as she dropped some facts about the plus-sized fashion industry today.

“Last year, plus-sized fashion was a $250 billion industry [and] 67% of women in the U.S. wear a size 14 or above,” the 38-year-old mom of three stated. “So we aren’t a small group of women, and yet, less than 10% of brands design for us ... So when I created this collection for JCPenney, it wasn’t just about making a line exclusively for curves. It was about designing what women have always deserved.”

Graham’s comment section was full of praise from her followers, who were thrilled by the messaging in the model’s campaign.

“This is the best ad I’ve ever seen! Thank you ❤️,” read one comment.

“Omg LOVE THIS SO MUCH 👏🔥❤️,” another user cheered.

“BRB shopping this collection! 🙌❤️,” one fan stated.

Meanwhile, a few others piped in to call out specific garments from the collection, noting that they’d be adding the pieces to their wardrobes ASAP.
