Sabrina Carpenter’s Rolling Stone cover dropped on Thursday, and, once again, the 25-year-old pop sensation is proving she knows how to rock an archival runway look.

For her cover story, which delves into her soaring new single “Manchild” and her upcoming album Man’s Best Friend, the top-charting artist debuted a number of repurposed ensembles from Victoria’s Secret.

Dressed by Jared Ellner—a staple stylist for Carpenter’s Short N’ Sweet World Tour as well as some of her best red carpet looks—the pop star repped Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show looks from its 1999 and 2010 shows.

Pulled from the archives, Carpenter donned a sky blue gingham lingerie set, adorned with puffy long sleeves and a flowing, elaborate train—originally debuted during the brand’s 2010 show. In 1999 (the year Carpenter was born!), another set from the Fashion Show debuted—featuring an off-the-shoulder lace top and sheer maxi skirt with similar detailing. Carpenter donned the same look in the ethereal outdoor photo shoot in her cover feature.

“I adore pulling archival fashion, but I do my best to use it when it’s truly the perfect garment for the client and event,” Ellner told PAPER in December. “I think now a lot of times people wear archive just for the sake of wearing archive whether or not it’s the best option for the occasion. For me, regardless of whether it’s archive or contemporary clothing, it’s always most important to use the look that best fits the project at hand.”

Clearly, we're loving it as well—and the Grammy Award-winning artist makes the garments look as fresh as ever. Just last year, Carpenter debuted another show-stopping look, originally worn by iconic Victoria’s Secret stunner Naomi Campbell. Fronting the cover of TIME, Campbell's 1997 red bodysuit made a comeback, as Carpenter ditched its knee-high socks for sheer black tights.

Even further back, the artist appeared at the 2023 Times Square New Year’s Eve Ball Drop in a vintage embellished mini dress from the brand's 2001 Runway Show—first worn by Bridget Hall. As if prefacing her staple looks from her world tour (which wraps in November), the garment was embellished with tiny crystals throughout its figure-hugging fabric.

And, when she’s not sporting a piece from the archives, Carpenter continues to rep the brand globally. She’s taken a number of custom Victoria’s Secret styles across the European leg of her tour and teamed up with them again for THE BRIT Awards in March.
