Is Taylor Swift Performing at the Grammys? Here’s What We Know

Taylor Swift may lead The Life of a Showgirl, but Swifties who are expecting her to perform at the 68th annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, Feb. 1 are going to be sorely disappointed.
While rumors have been circulating that the “Opalite” singer is set to take the stage for the award ceremony in Los Angeles this weekend, executive producer Ben Winston recently set the record straight.
“The only reason people think Taylor might be performing or coming is because HITS decided to print it this week and put it in their HITS List, and it was picked up globally,” he told the outlet. “But HITS just totally made that up. And now I am getting asked about it by you, as if it’s a real thing, when it was made up in your office! That really is a full-circle rumor!”
Alas, not only is Swift not performing, it appears that she will not be in attendance, either.
Why isn’t Swift nominated for a 2026 Grammy Award?
The eligibility period for the 2026 Grammy Awards encompasses projects that were released between Aug. 31, 2024 and Aug. 30, 2025. With Swift’s 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, dropping on Oct. 3, 2025, it fell outside of that date range and will instead be eligible for nomination in 2027.
With 58 Grammy nominations and 14 wins to date, Swift remains the only artist to win the “Album of the Year” award four times. She took home the honors in 2024 (for Midnights), 2021 (for Folklore), 2016 (for 1989) and 2010 (for Fearless). She also holds the record for most nominations for “Song of the Year” with eight total nods—however, she has yet to take home an award in the category.
