Cool girl Olivia Rodrigo is officially defrosting!

According toVulture, the pop princess’s third studio album is likely heading to the sound waves much sooner than anyone may have originally thought. The media outlet reports that it’s likely Rodrigo will release her currently untitled project in 2026, as the hints she’s sprinkling about are nearly too definitive to ignore. The most noteworthy one? Her website.

Signs a new album is coming soon

Rodrigo’s official website has been updated to tease the commemoration of her hit song, “Drivers License,” nearing its fifth birthday. “Driver’s License Application For Renewal” the header of the teaser reads, followed by additional information, such as the date and time (Jan. 8 at 9 a.m. PT) that the anniversary is slated to take place.

While the world has to wait to see what exactly she’ll do for the anniversary, it’s abundantly clear that fans are definitely entering a new era where exciting things are on the horizon.

Another significant hint regarding a potential new project? Rodrigo’s Instagram.

The celeb took to her social media account’s grid to post her toast to 2026, captioning the carousel with a simple yet thrilling “hi 2026!!!!! 😎😎😎😎.” In the photo dump, she opened up with a snapshot of her and her friends posing in front of festive fireworks. However, deeper in the compilation featured a flick of a golf cart with the words “The Album” written on the side.

The connection between Rodrigo’s rumored upcoming album and a golf cart remains to be seen. The same sentiment applies to whether the golf cart is any indicator at all about what’s expected to be on the way. Even so, with this image, there’s a good chance that Rodrigo has something clever and crafty up her sleeve. But only time will tell what that is exactly. Until then, fans are losing their minds.

In her commercial with American Express, the “good 4 u” singer outright confirmed that she’s back in the studio one more time, cooking up something to release to the world. Here, she also gave a fun fact about what food she finds herself eating more of while working on the project.

“I’m home and I’m working on my new album,” Rodrigo expressed. “A favorite studio meal? My first album, Sour, it was a burrito. My second album? Beans and cheese tacos. And, this time, it’s salmon.”
