Alix Earle Brings Fans Behind the Scenes of Reale Actives Launch in New Documentary

After several weeks of hinting at a new project, Alix Earle unveiled her first-ever skincare line, Reale Actives, on Tuesday, March 24.
Leading up to the big announcement, the content creator kept fans guessing about her latest endeavor, even creating a secret new Instagram account that quite literally asked “WTFisalixdoing” via the username. Then, a literal puzzle appeared in New York City, with each day getting fans closer to the truth until the brand’s name was finally revealed.
And now, Earle is giving fans an in-depth, behind-the-scenes look at how the skincare line—which she also noted was “two years in the making”—came to be. On Thursday, March 26, the Dancing With the Stars runner-up posted an hour-long documentary on her YouTube channel, sharing a full look at her journey.
Earle’s The Making of Reale Actives documentary
The video covered everything from Earle’s early conception of the line—including her desire to use ingredients that had worked with her own skin in the past—to her plans to promote it. She also revealed that, before deciding on Reale Actives as the name, she went through multiple other options. “I went through so many other names, oh my gosh,” Earle said. “I can’t even tell you guys how many other names I thought I was coming up with.” These included “Solution333,” “Allme” and “Baer/Raw,” just to name a few.
The content creator also showed fans the day of her photo shoot, submerging herself in water for the pretty promotional images. She ended the documentary by chatting directly with the audience about the production, including clips taken during board meetings as she and her team finalized the products.
“This is the story of how it all came to life,” Earle penned in the video’s description, “From starting the brand with just a name and a vision in 2023, to partnering with a dermatologist, factory tours, product design and testing, brand shoots and the real behind-the-scenes of building Reale Actives.”
