While appearing on the second episode of the Friends Keep Secrets podcast, Selena Gomez spilled some major tea.

The brand-new series, which is cohosted by Gomez’s husband, Benny Blanco, rapper Lil Dicky (aka David Burd) and Burd’s wife, Kristin Batalucco, dropped its second episode on March 3, and there are plenty of snippets for fans to dissect after the fact.

Not only did the Rare Beauty founder reveal that bestie Taylor Swift’s track “Dorthea” is about her, the 33-year-old “Love On” singer opened up about her mental health, her wedding to Blanco and her hopes for the future where motherhood is concerned.

Gomez, candidly shared that the day her younger half-sister, Gracie, was born was the best day of her life. The singer’s mother, Mandy Teefy, gave birth to Gomez’s sibling in 2013, when the singer-actress was 20.

“I’m such a family girl,” Gomez stated before sharing how her sister’s birth made her realize she wanted to have a family of her own one day. “ ... I just remember looking at my mom and hearing Gracie cry [after she was born via C-section] and I was just behind the curtain looking at my mom and I was like, ‘Oh my God.’ I immediately started crying.”

Despite there being a two-decade gap between the Only Murders in the Building star and her little sister, the two couldn’t be closer. Gomez has affectionately referred to Gracie as her “favorite human,” and regularly posts about her baby sis on her social media platforms.

“I will forever let my sister know she is strong, bold and beautiful,” Gomez wrote of Gracie in a 2017 Instagram post. “She will be raised to know her voice matters. She is going to understand the importance behind being a leader and inspire others by her truth.”

Of her sister’s birth, Gomez later added during the Friends Keep Secrets podcast segment, “That was a pivotal moment for me and that’s when I realized, I was like, ‘Oh, I want this.’” She also cited a scene from The Family Stone as inspiration for her future family plans, and noted that she’d ideally like to have four children with Blanco one day.

Her partner playfully teased that he “for sure” thought his wife would highlight their Sept. 27, 2025 nuptials as her favorite day of all time, though Gomez quickly assured her spouse that following the birth of her sister, their wedding day was a close second. The two tied the knot after going public with their relationship in December 2023 and getting engaged a year later.
